iPhone 5 and iPad 2 Will Support Dual-Core SGX543 GPU – Report

Next Generation iPhone and iPad will support Dual core Graphic Chips from Imagination Technologies.AppleInsider have reported that iPhone 5 will have a new model of A4 chip which support dual core SGX543 GPU.Which means next Generation iPhone and iPad will be capable of recording Full HD video Recording plus it will also be capable of playing high end graphic games.

A source familiar with Apple’s graphics strategy says the company will not only be upgrading its video core, but also going to multiple cores, a feature that is designed into the SGX543 design. The most likely configuration of Apple’s next custom chip is reportedly the SGX543MP2, which pairs two SGX543 cores to work as one, offering around four times the capability of the previous A4 in graphics and video tasks.

It is for sure that if Apple will use dual core GPU then the company has to use a compatible CPU.

I think that the CPU will be a Dual-Core Cortex A9 processor, and the GPU will be a Dual-Core SGX543.
