However, for a long time we have been hearing that Sony is readying a high-end Android-powered smartphone with a 5-inch display. Chinese-language site ePrice has reported that Sony will unveil its newly made Android powered smartphone Xperia Z L36h (Xperia Z L36h may unveil with the name L36i or L36a) at the CES 2013. We are not sure whether it is a rumor or not, but still we can’t let the chance go anyway.

According to the specification, the Xperia Z (L36h) will come with a 5-inch display along with full HD 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution with a 440 ppi density, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), a microSD slot, Micro HDMI, Micro USB, a 12-megapixel camera, 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE, a unibody design with a glass back, non-removable battery, a circular power button on the right side that looks more like a camera shutter button. Most of the time, Sony has unveiled its latest smartphone devices at the CES. So, it is expected that if the news is true, then Sony will unveil the new Android-power smartphone Xperia Z (Yuga) at the CES 2013. ePrice has reported that the Xperia Z (L36h) will have a sister variant in the form of Xperia X. The Xperia X is expected to be cheaper than the Xperia Z (L36h) with a slightly different design. But it is still unclear, whether or not the device will be released alongside the Xperia Z.

However, ePrice has claimed the Xperia Z (L36h) will be released on January 15 and its cost will be 4298 yuan (around $690 or €520). Besides, it is being said that, Sony will release 3-4 new smartphones in the first half of 2013.
