Acer’s Iconia Tab A200 To Receive Ice Cream Sandwich Really Soon

Although Acer failed to deliver the most recently released tablet Iconia Tab A200 with the promised Ice Cream Sandwich, according to a fresh rumor, the update to the latest Android will be available soon. According to the teams from TabletBlog.de who spotted an Acer Iconia Tab A200 model running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich at one of the local events, the company is working on delivering this update sometimes soon.


The German tech enthusiasts noticed a mention in the footer of the tablet’s label hinting to this piece of information. Also, on the German market, Acer Iconia Tab A200 is available for 369 Euros, despite the fact that it is described by many reviewers as a tablet targeting entry level users.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 features and 2MP front camera, no back camera, a 25.6 cm (10.1 inch) WXGA multi touch display with 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution and an NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual core processor. Currently, Acer Iconia Tab A200 is shipped with Android 3.2. The tablet packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB/16GB of internal storage. Reportedly, the latest Acer tablet will feature the Acer Ring UI which improves multi tasking and offers easy access apps from any screen. In addition Acer Iconia Tab A200 features a 3,260mAh battery that is able to deliver 400 hours of standby or 8 hours of video.
