According to the pricing list of Surface RT Tablets revealed by Microsoft, until now people were able to buy a 32GB Surface RT tablet at $499 and 64GB Surface RT at $699. But lately, Microsoft has rolled out a giant discount on the Surface RT tablets for educational institutions till August 31.


Microsoft Surface Tablet

Under the program, schools will be able to buy Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet at an extreme reduced price. Usually Surface RT tablets without keyboards and with keyboards are sold for $499 and $599, respectively. But under this program, schools will be able to purchase the devices for $199 (without touch keyboard) and $249 (with touch keyboard). Schools will also be able to buy a Surface RT tablet along with a type keyboard for $289, instead of paying the usual price of 629.

The “Microsoft Surface for education limited time offer” will be available between June 17 and August 31, 2013. The special offer is available for educational institutions K12 through college and university. Schools located in the following 25 countries can take advantage of the special pricing: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China (via Digital China), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

There is no minimum order requirement. Interested schools have to fill up an order form for the devices and later have to sent to SurfaceEDU@microsoft.com.
