Samsung’s Upcoming Android 4.0 Tablets: GT-P3100 and GT-P5100

The next months are expected to reshape the tablet users’ expectations, especially after the high profile, high end tablets lead by iPad 3 will hit the market. The makers of ASUS Transformer Prime already created some suspense and the anticipation about the release and other tech giants seem to rally up to challenge Apple’s supremacy on the tablet market.

Meanwhile, Samsung remained seemingly quiet until rumors started to leak pointing to the new tablet models that the South Korean tech giant is working on. The Japanese technology website, Ameblo managed to get a proof that Samsung has in the works two Android based tablets, codenamed GT-P3100 and GT-P5100. Both tablets just received the Wi-Fi certification and probably all the tech world will receive more information on this matter at the end of this month, at the upcoming Mobile World Congress hosted in Barcelona (where we will be present).

Analysts who follow rumors and check out if they come true, suggest that the document published by Ameblo looks trustworthy and the mysterious codenames are similar to the ones leaked before the release of Galaxy Tabs. For Instance, Galaxy Tab 7 Plus had the moniker GT-P6200. Several days ago, writers from TalkAndroid, reported that Samsung is looking to develop a tablet powered by a 2GHz processor from Exynos 5250 series. The device is rumored to be released in the second quarter of this year.
