Recently, Los Angeles based startup DryWired has made a protector for mobile devices. The company says that its new nano coating can give both smartphones and tablets the ability to withstand drops and water.
To convince people, DryWired showcased some demonstrations using Samsung Galaxy Note II, iPhone, and other devices. None of these devices are waterproof in real-life, but DryWired applied nano-coating on the devices and submerged them in an aquarium one by one and constantly splashed with water. Interestingly, all devices turned out to be waterproof.
DryWired showcased another interesting demonstration. The company had made a nano-treated napkin on which it dripped water constantly, but the nano-treated napkin never absorbed water.
