Video of Raid On Kim Dotcom’s Mansion Revealed

MegaUpload has been in the eye of the storm ever since US authorities started pursuing it doggedly to appease different content producers in the US. The site was taken down and also, the founder of MegaUpload, was arrested by the authorities. Now, the video of the raid on Dotcom’s mansion has been revealed.

The video has been captured from a helicopter which was part of the raid. It shows the helicopter initially landing and then four members of a combat group, fully equipped, running into the house. Meanwhile, ground forces also arrive and take their positions around the house.

Dotcom reveals, while recording a statement to the court, that he didn’t lock his room to bar the officers, rather he left it the way it was and let the officials come in and arrest him. Even then, he says, the officials didn’t simply take him but rather, targeted him with physical abuse before taking him away.

Feed from another camera located outside the main entrance to the mansion shows a number of vehicles arriving, filled with law enforcement officials. These officials took their positions around the house in case of any untoward circumstances. While FBI engineering the whole raid, it wasn’t directly involved and in fact, the arrest warrant which FBI produced eventually out to be false when cross-examined in a court.
