Fujitsu Limited is the world’s third largest IT service company after IBM and Hewlett-Packard (HP) and its measured by the revenues. Fujitsu has approximately 172,000 employees and over 70 countries Fujitsu’s product and service are available. After huge success of domestic market, Fujitsu wants to enter the North American mobile phone market using their smartphones.
For this work, Fujitsu has made a partnership with DoCoMo network operator. Fujitsu Senior Executive and Vice President Hideyuki Saso said “North America is our priority market”. He said also via a translator “If we try to do same thing as how our competitors because of the competition, it is going to be tough” and “We would like to identify the right way of entering the North American market that would make use of our technology and expertise to make a steady landing.”
When the USA smartphone market is already captured by the other renowned brands like Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Nokia then Fujitsu wants to enter the market. For this situation Saso said “We don’t want to be just another mobile phone, We want to be special.” and said also ”Fujitsu has several strengths it can draw on, including a wide range of thin, yet durable and waterproof models”.
Previously Fujitsu made waterproof phone, 13.2 MP windows phone, Android phone, world’s thinnest smartphone (shape of the phone is 6.7mm IS12f) and also made Regza-branded in partnership with Toshiba. Fujitsu already displayed World’s First Quad Core Tegra 3 Prototype Phone in CES 2012 and definitely it will be released at the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress) on Barcelona in February 2012.
