Internet users are increasingly using the web to access multimedia content using online streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu. Keeping this in view, networking equipment maker NETGEAR has unveiled three new NeoTV streaming players which can connect with a multitude of online streaming services. And, these players are smarter than most smart TVs in the market.
These new streaming players are branded as NeoTV, NeoTV PRO and NeoTV MAX. These boxes come equipped with lots of useful features. For instance, these players are able to deliver 1080p HD content right to your TV screens. Moreover, they feature built-in Wi-Fi, as well as Intel WiDi.
What may stand out to be the most enticing feature of these players is that they support HTML5 standard, thus supporting a lot of web services which are based on HTML5. Moreover, the NeoTV players are able to stream content from Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Vudu, Pandora, Rhapsody and a number of other online streaming services.
The content is displayed in 1080p HD on your screen. The players also come with a simple remote control. A free remote control app is also available for download in Google Play, as well as in Apple App Store.
According to the product line manager for connected entertainment at NETGEAR, “NeoTV Streaming Players offer a variety of entertainment features to meet every consumer’s need, whether you are a novice at streaming movies or someone who wants an advanced experience like wireless display or playback of personal media.”
The NeoTV players are already available with major U.S. retailers, offline and online. The price tag for the basic NeoTV player (NTV300) is $49.99, whereas the price of NeoTV PRO (NTV300S) is $59.99 and NeoTV MAX (NTV300SL) at $69.99.
