Acer Dishes Out $400 Android All-In-One PC

Although Android already has a very significant and sizable presence in both the smartphone and tablet markets, the platform is also becoming a prominent player in the PC arena. Acer is now about to announce an all-in-one PC that will be priced at a mere $400 and will come packed with a whole plethora of great features.

Acer All-in-one

The great thing about Android PCs is that, unlike the Windows 8 machines, the vendors don’t have to spend a significant sum on licensing the operating system. The new PC from Android, likely to be modeled as Acer DA220HQL, will feature a 21.5-inch multi-touch screen packing a 1920 x 1080 display.

Moreover, the all-in-one PC will include an OMAP 4430 dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, which is a rather impressive chip from Texas instruments. To go with the chip is 1GB of memory and 8GB of internal storage space. There are also built-in speakers, Wi-Fi, Micro-HDMI as well as a front-facing camera.

With these features, this machine costs a mere $400 as per the rumors, which makes it somewhat of an ideal must-have. Not only does it come with Android 4.0 and the great features that the platform offers, it also comes with a great hardware.

We are not sure when Acer may decide to officially unveil this all-in-one PC. But whenever it does, we are sure it will raise quite a few eyebrows, more because of its low pricing as compared to Windows machines, than for its own features.

1GB RAM is like the cheapest, oldest phones, and 8GB storage for something called PC is ridiculous at any price
