LG Optimus 4X HD owners in Europe are lucky that the official Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update has been released on the continent. The release is starting from the Czech Republic before being offered to the rest of the region.
This Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update is available only for LG Optimus 4X HD handsets purchased in Europe without a contract. Hence, this is not an “Over The Air” update. In order to update, one would need LG’s Update Tool, which is a desktop application for Windows. Owners of LG Optimus 4X HD handset would have to update their phones manually through this tool.
