Apple has released an education only 21.5-inch iMac quietly. This special model is $200 cheaper than the entry-level pricing for consumer models and comes with minimum specs. This iMac is available for purchase by educational institutions only.
The education-only iMac model is numbered ME699LL/A. This iMac features a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels display and Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4GB RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. To cut the price down further Apple has used a 3.3GHz dual-Core Intel Core i3 processor. And the final price of the package stood at $1099 only.
You need to order the device using Apple’s store for education institution.
