Microsoft has released Windows 10 October Update which is version 1809. Let’s see what’s new inside.
It has been three years since Microsoft released Windows 10. They are working hard to make the new features and make everything stable. That’s why they are making the big update every six months. So after the April update, Microsoft now released October 2018 update which version is 1809 codenamed Redstone 5. Today we are discussing this new updates, features and what’s new.
Windows 10 File Explorer now support dark mode. This dark mode also works in the settings menu.
Windows Search Experience
Windows search experience is now wider and useful than ever before. When you click on the search box, you will see more search option like web, documents, apps, people. All of these are for better and wider search options.
When you have connected to a Bluetooth device, you will see your device’s battery information instantly in the Bluetooth settings.
Snip & Sketch
This is the new snipping tool for Windows 10 called, “Snip & Sketch“. Use “Windows key + Shift + S” shortcut to open Snip & Sketch. This tool has features like markup with color, painting and etc.
This new Windows 10 comes with a new built-in Clipboard manager. This clipboard can handle multiple clipboards at the same time. This clipboard manager takes clipboard history. After pressing “Windows key + V” to see a scroll list of the recent clipboard.
Text Messages From Your PC
You can now send and receive text messages from your PC. It uses your Android phone to work on this feature.
Photos From Your Phone
Get photos from your phone instantly on your pc. You don’t have to wait for cloud sync or USB cable. With that new app, you can easily use this feature.
In Edge browser, now you can block videos that open automatically. They also changed the navigation panel in the left side.
They changed some emojis and they called it emoji 11.0.
