Rovio’s Angry Birds franchise has been experiencing a raging popularity which has only been increasing over time. For instance, the latest release of the franchise, Angry Birds Spaces, experienced record downloads, beating all previous records of fastest game downloads on a mobile platform. Now, Rovio has announced yet another massive achievement.
The company has been quite efficient in rolling out updates, integrations across multiple platforms and lots of other features to entice the users. And apparently, all of this is working quite well.
Now Rovio has announced that all time downloads of all of its Angry Birds titles has surpassed 1 billion downloads! And what is even more surprising is the fact that half a billion downloads out of these have been done within the last 6 months. This goes on to show that the rage and popularity surrounding the massively popular game is not going down any time soon and Rovio still has a long way to go along its meteoric rise.
This huge achievement was somewhat expected given the fact that the latest release from the company, Angry Birds Space, scored a whopping 50 million downloads within 35 days! With the boom of user population on the mobile platform, the game is expected to gain even more followers over the course of time and its fame and success are going to stay for now.
