Recently, some new evidences have been revealed about Sony’s rumored super slim PlayStation 3. According to CNET, the new PlayStation 3 may launch before the holidays. The new version of PlayStation 3 is expected to be slimmer and cheaper. The speculation grew after Sony submitted a documents of a ‘mysterious’ new PlayStation to FCC for clearance.
The model number of the new PlayStation 3 is dubbed as CECH-4000, a generation apart from current series ( CECH-3000). The submitted papers to FCC also indicate that the PlayStation is a redesign of old one while maintaining the trademark – PlayStation 3. Its overall design looks to be a hybrid of the original PlayStation 3. The super slim PlayStation 3 might come with 16GB, 250GB, and 500GB storage. And, the price range could be on sub-$200 price level.
