According to 9to5Mac source Mr. X, the upcoming N94 next generation iPhone is being stocked by Apple in 3 different capacities and they are interpreting this to mean that the next generation iPhone will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. The three different sizes could conceivably be 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB and all that is known is that the upcoming N94 model will be available in three different capacities. If the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 does turn up with 64GB of storage it would also suggest we can indeed expect a 128GB iPod touch and Apple will be introducing the next iPhone on October 4th during a media event held on Apple’s campus………………
9 to 5 Mac now claims that according to their source who had given them information about these new entries in Apple‘s inventory system, the N94 next generation iPhone model could come in three storage capacities: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB just like iPad 2. 9 to 5 Mac is not completely certain as the three different storage capacities could also be 8GB, 16GB and 32GB and we don’t think Apple will launch a 8GB iPhone 4S, as it is also likely to introduce an 8GB iPhone 4 as the new entry-level model, which will replace iPhone 3GS. We won’t be surprised if iPhone 5/iPhone 4S comes in 64GB storage capacity as we had discovered few months back that Apple has been testing 64GB version of iPhone 4 since 2010. 9 to 5 Mac reports:
Following the news that Apple’s new iPhone N94 device has appeared in the Apple internal inventory system, we are now hearing that this new iPhone will come in three storage capacities. Given that we’ve also heard from manufacturing sources that Apple has at least been prototyping 64GB versions of the new iPhone, we would say it’s fairly likely that Apple’s new iPhone will come in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities; just like the iPad.
In all fairness, it is also plausible that the new iPhone will come in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities, but the appearance of a tweaked iPhone 4 (N90A) seems to refute that. Provided that the 8GB iPhone 4 rumor is correct, it would make little sense for Apple to produce both an 8GB iPhone 4 and an 8GB iPhone 4S. For those who have been wondering – and who isn’t? – each of these capacities will come in both black and white. Thanks, Mr. X!
