Recently, some images have been leaked of Apple’s upcoming iPhone and iPad Mini dock connectors. An iDevice repair company called iResQ leaked this dock connectors images. The images show that 8-pin dock connector and headphone jack assemblies for iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
On the right of above image shows that two 8-pin dock connector and headphone jack assemblies for coming iPhone and on the left, two 8-pin dock connector and headphone jack assemblies for iPad Mini. The leaked images hint that dock connector and headphone assemblies come in either white or black. The images also hint a change in design for the devices.
If you see the images closely, you will see that the headphone jack of iPad Mini and iPhone 5 are pretty close. The source said that “iPad Mini will be more similar to the iPhone or iPod Touch than the current size iPad.”
Below image shows that on the top side, Apple did not use contact pins.
