Smartphone market has literally exploded in recent times, with millions of users hooking up to newer and sleeker devices called smartphones. Apple’s iPhone, naturally, is the jewel of the crown, with its largest share of the tablet market. Boasting the largest user base, it is the most important handset in the smartphone market.
The interesting thing is that with such penetration of smartphones, these device are changing the very behavior of us humans. This is manifest in the results of a survey conducted by the gadget trade-in service Gazelle.
During the course of this survey, the respondents were asked that would they give up sex or go for a weekend without an iPhone. A significant 15% of the respondents said that they would give up sex and would rather keep the iPhone.
What is even more absurd and interesting is that 4% of the respondents confirmed that they have used their iPhone right in the middle of having sex. This, and other results from the survey, depict what drastic changes the smartphone era has made to our lives.
According to Gazelle’s chief gadget officer, “It’s amazing to think about how much the iPhone has changed consumers’ lives in just five short years. As the nation’s leading high-end consumer electronics trade-in site, we know just how much people love their iPhones, and we’re happy to help them upgrade to the latest generation in the smartest way possible – by giving them cash for their current device.”
