As we near the eventual release of Windows 8 in the month of October, millions of users around the world are holding their breathes to see what it will pack. At the same time, hardware vendors also seem to have started marketing their Windows 8 machines. For instance, Samsung hinted that it will unveil one soon at IFA.
Windows 8 is going to be big and most hardware vendors want devices ready for it. So even when they may not agree with Microsoft’s decision to become a hardware vendor itself with Surface tablets, they are going to go ahead with developing Windows 8 machines.
The most exciting feature about Windows 8 is, it seems the perfect OS to run on touchscreens. We have already seen some prototypes based on Windows 8 that also pack touchscreen displays.
In the video titled “Something smart is coming”, Samsung hasn’t exactly told what it is going to release. But speculations are high in favor of a Windows 8 laptop. And given the gist of the video, this laptop is surely going to pack some impressive hardware. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long to lay our eyes on this laptop which Samsung promises to unveil at IFA. The teaser video is posted below.
