Ideas and innovations in the tech world are a thing of every day and its a daily thing to see something extra-ordinary being launched by a tech company. Transparent displays are not a new thing, neither are transparent color displays. However, you don’t get to see one often. And the Crystal feature phone by Explay features a transparent display which has better and more vivid colors than other transparent display phones.
For the record, the first mobile phone that introduced the notion of transparent displays was Xperia Pureness. It was definitely a new notion but it didn’t hit off well enough with mobile phone users.
Lenovo also took its shot with transparent display phones, but it added another feature to them – colors. Lenovo S800 landed in 2011 with a transparent color display. However, what is noteworthy about the Explay Crystal phone is that although it is not very different from other aforementioned phones, it does have a display which has far better and more vivid colors than both Pureness and S800.
Crystal comes with dual-SIM capabilities and has media player functions. It also has a number of other regular feature-phone features such as Bluetooth support, contact list, ability to capture video with a modest camera which is a part of it. Apart from that, it doesn’t have any other extraordinary capabilities since it is a simple feature phone.
So the highlight of the device is its transparent color display. Crystal will become available in Russia from July 1st and has a price tag of $219.
