ExoPC Windows 7 Tablet Now for pre-order

ExoPC we talk about it before, it’s a Windows 7 tablet.A good news for all ExoPC is now available for Pre-orders….

The ExoPC slate has been a tablet of much fascination for some and for those people who are interested in owning the 11.6″ Windows 7 tablet pre-orders are being taken now. The tablet is being released in Canada so if you are in Europe you’ll have to plan accordingly for shipping the tablet.

Although this good new about pre-orders does come with a little bit of bad news. The 64GB model will no longer come with GPS functionality built-in and the battery is said to only last through on average 4 hours of use. Other than the GPS and battery life news ExoPC is also excited to announce the tablet will come with “new SSD from Sandisk, really fast”. The SSD used is the SanDisk P4 mini-SSD, the drive provides up to 160MB/s write speeds and 220MB/s read speeds.

The tablets pricing goes like this, the 32GB tablet costs CAD $649 (about $624 USD) and the 64GB version CAD $749 (about $720 USD). The tablet is set to start shipping October 15, 2010.
