In June 2006, Apple debuted its second iteration of the device, the 30GB U2 iPod. Costing $329 and later dropped to $279 the device came packed with a 30-minute U2 video exclusive from iTunes and featured a black stainless steel back.
“U2 and Apple have a special relationship where they can start to redefine the music business,” said Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of UMG’s Interscope Geffen A&M Records. “The iPod along with iTunes is the most complete thought that we’ve seen in music in a very long time.”

I saw Bono from U2 at Apple Cupertino on Wednesday. He was walking with an exec (not saying who) to an office building. I haven’t seen him here in years. Perhaps a new U2 iPod?
