Today while I was talking to a friend of mine in Skype, I wanted to record that call, but I didn’t know how to do that. As soon as I finished the conversation, I started digging in internet and found some software thorough which anyone can record a Skype call without any hassle. Therefore I thought, why not share with you guys? Let’s see, how to record a Skype call.

Skype has no built-in option to record a call. And that’s where third-party software comes in. But there are many third party software in the internet world, of which not all of them are up to the mark. However, today we’ll let you know some third party software through which you can easily record a Skype call.

Callnote Premium

Don’t be confused with the name “Premium.” Callnote Premium is a free Skype call recorder. This third party software can do the followings:

NB: While you are using the app, make sure that you have entered the correct Skype name, otherwise the app will not work. GPRS is not supported for voice calls.

Call Recorder

The name itself says that it can record calls. However, Call Recorder is an easy and affordable way to record your Skype call. It is a simple add-on for Skype which automatically transforms your audio and video calls into QuickTime movies. Aside from fantastic audio and video capturing, Call Recorder for Skype touts additional compression tools, sharing features and a host of options for fine tuning various settings such as audio encoding and voicemail playback. To use the app for recording Skype calls, follow the instructions.

Step 1: Navigate to the main Call Recorder for Skype homepage, chose which one want to use and then download and install it. Now, launch Skype as you do normally.
Step 2: Now, make a call. as son as the person receives the call, click the circular record button located at the top of the Call Recorder for Skype window to begin recording the conversation. When finished, click the red phone icon to hang up and the app will automatically title and save the recording to a specified save location.

MP3 Skype Recorder

MP3 Skype Recorder is free for private, non-commercial use and features both automatic and manual recording capabilities. However, to record a Skype call on your PC easily using MP3 Skype Recorder, follow the steps.

Step 1: First, download and install MP3 Skype Recorder. Now, log in into your Skype account and make a call.
Step 2: MP3 Skype Recorder will automatically begin recording the conversation once the call is accepted. At then, a small window will appear at the bottom-right corner of the desktop, indicating the recording process has begun. When the call will be finished, the application will automatically title and save the audio recording of the conversation to the desktop.

Pamela

Pamela has both free and premium versions. But free version have very less facilities than premium versions. However, the premium versions cost $21 (Basic), $36 (Professional) and $57 (Business). To record Skype calls via Pamela, follow the procedures.

Step 1: First, visit the main Pamela homepage, choose which version you want to use and then download it. Now, log in into your Skype account.
Step 2: Make a call. Now, to record a call, click the “Yes” button (it will appear on your screen). As soon as the call will be received, Pamela will automatically begin recording the conversation and when the conversation will be over, just hang up and the app will automatically save an audio recording of call within the Skype Recordings panel of the application.

VodBurner

VodBurner is absolutely a free app for recording Skype calls. It allows users to record audio and video from either side of the conversation and save it as an MOV, MP4 and M4A among other formats. However, to record Skype calls via VodBurner, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to the main VodBurner homepage, download and install it. Now, log in into your Skype account by providing your Skype name and password. The app will do some work and restart. Now make a call.
Step 2: As soon as the person you called receives the call and you want to record the conversation, click the circular record button at the bottom of the resulting window. When the conversation will be finished, just hang up and the app will automatically title and save the recording to a specified save location.
