[Tutorial] How To Accelerate Video Playback On Laptop While Its On Battery – Windows 7

Does your HD videos stutter when you are watching them on your laptop while its on battery power? With few small power savings parameters adjustments on your laptop you can easily get more power while watching videos and in this tutorial I will show you how to do that. However while making these changes the autonomy of your computer will be lower.


To get started follow steps below:

Step 1: Click on the icon representing a battery meter in the taskbar of your computer.

Step 2: From the menu that show up click More power options.

Step 3: Click Change plan settings next to the selected mode.

Step 4: Then click Change advanced power settings.

Step 5: In the window that opens, locate the settings for your graphics card.

Step 6: Now under On battery change settings from Maximize Battery Life to Maximize Performance. Confirm changes with OK.

From now on video playback on your laptop while its running on battery should no longer be a problem. However the autonomy of your computer will be lower. You can return to optimal autonomy parameter when you have finished watching videos.
