As you have already found out from our previous cover up, Microsoft Surface is finally jailbroken. Although the first attempt made by hacker clrokr in order to jailbreak Microsoft Surface proved to be quite difficult for normal users, the another one done by XDA-Developers member with nickname Netham45 is much more easier to perform for every Surface user. In this tutorial we will lead you trough complete Microsoft Surface jailbreak process so you can safely jailbreak your device.
Because Windows RT will not allow execution of third-party .EXE files due to its ARM architecture and restrictions which are made by Microsoft, this jailbreak will rely on .BAT file. In order to perform this jailbreak you will have to run .BAT file and then simply follow on-screen instructions. After few mouse clicks you should jailbreak your Microsoft Surface. Yes, it’s that easy!
Step 1: First download this file and then unpack it in new folder on your Microsoft Surface.
Step 2: Open the folder in which you have unpacked previously download file and then double-click on runExploit.bat file.
Step 3: Once you lunch the tool, it will automatically start the jailbreak process and all you have to do is simply follow on-screen instruction and confirm few changes.
Step 4: When you come up to Developer License window, tap on I Agree and then you will need to log in to your Microsoft account in order to obtain the developer license.
Step 5: Few seconds after your successfully login a new window will pop up where you need to confirm the successfully transfer of developer license. Inside that window all you have to do is click Close.
Step 6: Later on yo will be also asked “Are you sure you wish to continue?“. type Y on your keyboard and then press Enter.
Step 7: Next press Volume down button on your Surface to finish you jailbreak process.
Now once you have successfully jailbroken your Microsoft Surface, let me note one more thing, after you reboot your Surface the jailbreak will reset, but the good news is that you don’t have to run entire this process all over again. All you have to do is lunch .BAT file and then when asked press Volume down button.
