Did you notice when you install a new app on your Android device its icon always appears on your home screen? Although this can be pretty useful, sometimes it’s really frustrating. In most cases I end up removing those icons from the home screen. In this tutorial I will show how you can disable this automatic appearance of icons on your home screen easily. After you apply the tricks no new icons will be added to your home screen.

Let’s get started then.

Step 1: Go to Google Play Store from your Android device.

Step 2: Now press options menu on your device and from menu that appears choose Settings.

Step 3: When Settings window appears simply uncheck the check box next to Auto-add widgets. Your changes will be automatically saved.

Next time when you install any app on your Android device it’s icon won’t appear on your home screen.
