Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and love-birds are already warming up in anticipation; on February 14, many would want to have a great day with their loved ones. An infographic by Mobilstealth shows how technology has enabled people, over the years, to celebrate a perfect Valentine’s Day.
Until a few years ago, consumer technology primarily centered around computers and internet. These days, technology centers around the notion of mobile computing, defined by tablets, smartphones and similar other mobile devices. The central significance of internet and the web, though, remains.
The infographic by Mobilstealth shows how mobile devices and web allow people to get the best advice for their Valentine’s Day and make sure that they don’t end up ruining the day. Nearly $13.19 billion are spent in the U.S. on Valentine’s Day alone. Sadly, nearly 20% men remember Valentine’s Day a little too late.
As a result, 53% of the women who have a bad Valentine’s Day end their relationship. The bright side is that technology may have a role in changing these trends. Nearly 62% of restaurant searches on Valentine’s Day are made through mobile devices. On February 14th, love birds fervently look up Dinner and Valentine’s Day recipes on the web, evidently to have a snug meal.
The infographic divulges that on average, men spend nearly $158 on the day but with some smart thinking and the help of technology, they can still have a great time while spending a lot less. Scroll down to view the infographic in more detail.
