Few days ago, Planetzuda.com has published a news about Google search results showing private information of people. They have found that Google search results sometimes expose all types of confidential data including credit card number, social security number etc. The team has contacted Google security team and explained the issue. Google replied that they knew about this, but due to Google’s policy of non-censorship of search results the data can’t be removed.
That means, people’s confidential information is very easy to find for anyone, especially for cyber-criminals. Google said, they will not fix it. They added, it is the webmaster job, a webmaster can hide any information which he/she is not interested to show. It is unexpected that Google is not pro-active to stop serving confidential personal information in search results where its biggest rival Bing is doing it.
