Analytical tools are increasingly becoming popular in this digital, tech-driven world. And they are helpful too, in that they allow us an insight without having to dig into the huge amounts of data and spend our time and energy. Here, then, is a new tool named ‘Gmail Meter’ which lets you keep track of your Gmail Account.
Gmail Meter has been developed by Romain Vialard. Vialard is a Google Apps Script Top Contributor. He was able to develop this tool using the very Google Apps Script. The tool is simple, really, yet can prove to be very useful for the users.
Remember Google Account Activity that was released to let users gain an insight into their Google accounts? Well….this is pretty much the same, except that it allows you to gain an insight into your Gmail account.
So what can Google Meter do? Well, it is able to monitor the traffic patterns of your email, discern your own emailing habits, and know about the important messages that you send and receive. Through this information, it can tell you your weekly emailing habits – such as, what time of the day, or the week, you email most etc. Another cool feature is ‘Daily Traffic’ estimates through which Google Meter is able to tell when do you receive most messages. In a way, it presents a consolidated report of your account’s activity over the course of a week as easy, digestible information.
