American Express Cardholders Can Buy Stuff By Tweeting Hashtags Now

E-retail companies are increasingly incorporating social media in their marketing campaigns, trying to leverage the massive audience on the social networks. To this end, Amex Sync has now launched the option of buying stuff simply by tweeting hashtags about them. The offer is limited to American Express cardholders.

American Express deal

The move by Amex Sync is quite interesting. At one hand, it provides the users with the sheer ease of buying goods and having them shipped to their homes simply by tweeting about them. At the other, Amex Sync gets to have free publicity on Twitter and reach out to more customers.

American Express cardholders who wish to avail the offer have to sign up for the service and then simply tweet using a given hashtag. For instance, if you wish to buy an Amex Gift card worth $25, you’ll have to tweet using the hashtag #BuyAmexGiftCard25.

Once you place the offer, @AmexSync will contact you to confirm it. After you respond in affirmative, details will arrive in an email to you and the goods that you want to have will be shipped to your doorstep within two days.

Not only that, Amex Sync is offering considerable discounts on certain goods to kickstart the whole campaign. Currently, you can get a $25 American Express gift card for a mere $15. The service promises that it would be making a whole host of other stuff available as part of the deal, including Kindle Fire HD and that a similar deal will soon be made available to Facebook users too.
