Facebook has rolled out a new version of its Messenger app for iOS. The new versions is quicker and packs a whole plethora of new features including the ability to share videos, send voice messages and more.
According to the changelog of the new version, Facebook Messenger will be a lot more snappier for iOS users now. Moreover, it will pack the following new features:
- You can now take a photo while being in a conversation. All you would need to do is snap the button, take the picture and share it right away. No more need to abandon the conversation and indulge in the painstaking procedure of sharing a photo through social media buttons.
- There are some changes to the interface and other minor tweaks which allow you to send voice messages instantly and with far more ease now.
- Searching through the list of people or groups is also easier now. Simply punch in the name and you would get the related results instantly.
- One of the key improvements in this updated version is that it now allows you to send videos straight from your phone’s camera roll. Moreover, if a contact sends you a video in a conversation, you can play the video without leaving the app.
- Facebook has also made it easier to access and use Stickers on the Messenger app.
The updated version is available for iOS users only for now. You can download it from here. Android users will have to wait till the end of this week which is when Facebook plans to roll out Messenger 5.0 for them.
