Yahoo Mail Gets A Facelift, Integrates Speed And Simplicity

Yahoo has redone the looks of its email service, making it a lot simpler and fairly elegant. Yahoo Mail was long due for such an update; thanks to this new redesign, the email service now has the same look across all platforms.

New Yahoo Mail

Microsoft recently rolled out a major update to its own email service, Hotmail, effectively rebranding it as Outlook. Google dishes out new Gmail features quite regularly. In face of all this, Yahoo Mail had grown fairly obsolete and users have been looking to Yahoo for an update.

Thankfully, the update has finally arrived. It was announced in a blog post by Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer. The new looks of Yahoo Mail essentially make it simpler, easier-to-use and easy on the eyes. It appears neater and the interface lets you concentrate on the mail without being distracted.

According to Mayer, the new look of Yahoo Mail has been devised with the focus being on speeding up the user experience and making it more intuitive. Yahoo Mail apps for iPhone and Android are already available whereas the web version of the revamped email service will become available within a few days.

In her post, Mayer states, “We’ve redesigned the new version of Yahoo! Mail with speed in mind – getting through your emails is faster than ever before. We’ve also made your inbox more intuitive and easier to navigate, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your messages. And, because mobile is everything these days, Yahoo! Mail now has a consistent look and feel across devices.”
