Google Reveals Cool Voice-Control Feature For Google TV

Briefly after Google announced Play Store movies, TV shows, and music would launch on the Google TV this month, they also posted a sneak-peek video of an update for the TV-platform. Apparently the posting was an accident because they made the video private shortly later. Tech examiners discovered that Google TV would be updated with a sweet voice-control feature while the video was up for viewing.

“TV Ads” Retire From Google’s Office

Goggle has announced that it is abandoning the “TV Ads” service. Alongside the video ads for webpages Google started the TV Ads service through its Adward service for televisions. It was 2007 when they started the service and campaigned about the service saying “target up to 42 million US households”. Giants like Sony and Logitech joined the project. But now it has been retired.

GoogleTV Finally Rooted By Hackers

The Google TV is the first Smart TV platform from Google and was announced back in May 2010. For this project the search giant partnered up with behemoths like Intel, Sony and Logitech. Of course Google TV integrated Google’s Android OS but also the Linux version of Google Chrome browser to provide an interesting and interactive television experience. In 2011, Logitech dropped out of the deal due to massive revenue loss. Since then Sony seems to have been the one left to pick up the pieces.

Google TV 2.0 Update To Arrive Next Week

When the launch of Google TV was announced there was a great optimism from Technorati and no one knows what went wrong that this did not make in the market as big as this was expected following the grand success of Android. Despite launching Google TV with Logitech and Sony as key partners, they did not have the take off as expected and Google announced that early next week it will launch a major software update intended to significantly improve the functionality of the Google TV software. Google admits that Google TV has had its problems, but with this update they hope to address some of them and owners of Sony’s Google TV-equipped televisions will see the update as early as next week, Logitech Revue owners will have to wait until soon thereafter…………………
