Microsoft Windows Server 8 And Azure Platform Now Available For Developers

Microsoft is making available to testers preview versions of its Windows Server 8 and Microsoft is making available to testers a developer preview of Windows Server 8, the complement to its Windows 8 client. Microsoft says Windows Server 8 will be heavily influenced by its experience running Windows Azure, the cloud based operating system that Microsoft runs in its own data centers. Windows Phone Mango Coming To AT&T

AT&T expands Windows Phone leadership plans to introduce three new 4G Windows Phones (HTC Titan, Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash) in fourth quarter and update all existing Windows Phones. The Focus S will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.4GHz CPU and an 8 megapixel rear camera that accompanies a 1.3 megapixel front-facing cam for video chat and bearing Mango is the Samsung Focus Flash, considered the lower-end offering by Sammy, which still brandishes a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screen as well as a 1.4GHz CPU and 5 megapixel rear shooter and front-facing camera that for now has no specified resolution…………

Windows 8 Tablet Will Run Intel Chip

Microsoft is scheduled to show off their upcoming Windows 8 operating system on a tablet next week, possibly a Samsung manufactured tablet PC and by going with an Intel chip for their first in-depth demo of Windows 8 on a tablet Microsoft is taking the safe route, Intel chips have powered Windows tablet PC’s for years now. This could be a big surprise to many because generally manufacturers prefer ARM processors due to its power efficiency and Intel is working hard to close the power efficiency gap.AMD’s chips are compatible with Windows 8 and AMD chips will support the classic Windows 8 desktop and the tiled Metro user interface so far only seen on Windows Mobile phones……………….

Hyper-V Coming To Windows 8

Microsoft announced via the Building Windows 8 blog that at least some client versions of Window 8 will natively support virtualization thought the use of Hyper-V, which has formerly been reserved for only server editions of Windows. Hyper-V always required some form of hardware virtualization, but this is more restrictive than the current specs and if the same requirement applies to the forthcoming Windows Server 8, then some machines capable of running Hyper-V today would not be able to run Hyper-V after upgrading. Microsoft promised at its Worldwide Partner Conference in July that any PC running Windows 7 today will be upgradeable to Windows 8 and the Hyper-V desktop requirements underscore the fact that not every Windows 7-capable computer will be able to access all the features of Windows 8, particularly given that Hyper-V will also require at least 4GB of RAM
