More Than 700,000 Android Handsets Are Being Daily Activated

Android market share grew steadily since the platform was launched three years ago and now Google conquered reached a new milestone. As Andy Rubin, SVP of Mobile and Android head announced on his Twitter page late on Tuesday, Google can now show off impressive activations figures. The number of Android devices activated each day now reached to more than 700,000. “For those wondering, we count each device only once (ie, we don’t count re-sold devices), and “activations” means you go into a store, buy a device, put it on the network by subscribing to a wireless service,” explained Andy Rubin.
