When it comes to augmented reality (AR) technology, it is still a relatively new field that has yet to be fully taken advantage of, but there has been instances in the past where augmented reality have been applied in a really innovative manner and now Lustancia is pleased as punch to announce their release of TapNav, which is touted to be the world’s first vision based Augmented Reality GPS Navigation. The application is right now available for download over at the Apple App and it is actually a GPS navigation application that will work on the iPhone, helping drivers out as they are behind the wheel………….

Viacom Sued Time Warner Cable For iPad Apps

Viacom sues Cablevision over its TV-streaming optimum for iPad app and wants a revised agreement before it sees its content appear on new screens, but Cablevision claims that cable service on the iPad is the same as on any TV. The lawsuit is filed in federal court in Manhattan for amid a broader battle between media companies and cable operators over the rights to supply TV programs and movies on the Internet and mobile devices…………

Apple released Mac OS 10.6.8 and its kind of a big deal. Apple is requiring that all Macs have 10.6.8 installed before they can upgrade to Lion and Mac OS 10.7/Lion is scheduled to be released in July as a 4GB download from the Mac App Store. Mac OS X 10.6.8 update brings with it a number of general operating system fixes, including further support for IPv6, improved VPN reliability and removal of known variants of Mac Defender. It also promises to fix a glitch that has Preview randomly shutting down and this update of Mac OS x is ready for download………..

Most of the iPhones on the T-Mobile network are pre-iPhone 4 and the company is working on adding Micro SIM cards as an option for customers, although a release date hasn’t been announced………..

Roadshow is a new iPad app which has arrived to let you save your favorites for later and it gives iPad users a way to collect online videos to watch later, even if they won’t have an Internet connection. The app contains a web browser and a starter set of bookmarks, browse video-heavy sites you like and look for videos. Roadshow doesn’t support YouTube and pulls a thumbnail up to its video shelf for the clip gets downloaded on the spot. The free version of Roadshow includes banner ads and limits you to 15 videos.
