Oniric Games has released a new metroidvania-style platforming game for iOS naming as Elemental Rage. Last week, the iPad version Elemental Rage HD [.99] was released in the App Store, and yesterday its small screen counterpart became available as well.
According to electronista, Verizon plans to soon put a removable sticker on the display of new handsets that warns the user the device may be used to track their location. All four carriers acknowledged that they store location data for varying periods of time, but Verizon (VZ, Fortune 500) was the only company to suggest a warning label.
According to BGR Apple is expected to release iOS 4.3.3 software update which will address all these issues and will even improve the battery performance. An Apple source has shared the release with the team, noting that the upgraded firmware will stop location data being backed up in iTunes, considerably reducing the size of the database on the device itself.
Apple has not at all denied the fact that they store information about their users’ location. One of the company’s lawyers stated in a letter sent to American officials that „Apple needs to have access to information about their users’ location in order to be able to provide high quality products and useful services”.
