Eric Schmidt Confirms Android Activation Number Per Day. It’s 1.3 Million

Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, revealed some impressive statistics about Android activations. At Motorola’s press event in New York, Eric Schmidt said that now 1.3 M Android devices are getting activated each day. The previous activation statistics were – 700k/day in last December, 900k/day earlier this summer and 1M/day in last July.

Lenovo Introduced Three IdeaTab Tablets At IFA 2012

Lenovo has introduced three new Android-based IdeaTab at IFA 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The three new models are IdeaTab S2110, A2107 and A2109. The visible difference among the three is, IdeaTab S2110 has an optional detachable keyboard dock but the other two don’t have any. Reportedly, Lenovo will release its IdeaTab A2107 in September, where other two models are already available.

According to reports, in October 2010, Apple executives met their counterparts in Samsung to settle concerns that Samsung’s tablets and smartphones infringe Apple’s iPhone and iPad device patents. New court documents in the Apple vs Samsung patent war have revealed that, Apple proposed a patent licensing deal with Samsung that time. Apple offered to license its portfolio of patents on the order of $30 per smartphone and $40 per tablet in royalties from Samsung.

Archos Gen 10 Tablet Will Launch In Late August

Archos first announced its Gen 10 Android tablet in March when the company rolled out its 2012 product lineup as a tablet maker.
