Fujitsu K Supercomputer Takes First Place In World

Fujitsu K supercomputer now ranked fastest in the world, dethrones China’s Tianhe-1A and this supercomputer contains more than 80,000 CPUs with eight cores each. Fujitsu kept the 6D mesh torus interconnect that was created by the three vendors for the K machine and simply built the whole box using its four-socket, water-cooled blade servers instead of a mix of vector and scalar processors. Fujitsu created the eight-core Venus Sparc64-VIIIfx chip specifically for the machine………..

Apple Final Cut Pro X Hits Mac App Store

Apple’s long-awaited Final Cut Pro X is now available on the Mac App Store for just $299.99, meaning keen editors can immediately grab hold of this suite to crack on with some real-time 4K video editing and this is assuming that you have a 64-bit Mac rig with beastly specs in the first place, check with Apple to make sure that you’re all set to go. The application debuted in a demonstration at a Final Cut user group event alongside the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas in April and its new features is a tool that detects when are people in shots, as well as what type of shots those are–close-up, medium or or wide-angle.
