Designer Says He Has Been Working On ‘Revolutionary’ Apple Product, Due Within 8 Months

Apple has a knack of guarding its secrets. And although many rumors fly about Apple’s upcoming products, rarely does a speculator gets it right. Now, the famous French designer Phillippe Starck has revealed that he has been working with Apple on a ‘revolutionary’ product that will be unveiled within the next 8 months.

Starck didn’t elaborate much on the details of the project, which is understandable given the fact that he worked on it and would have been bound by Apple not to divulge any details. What he did confirm was that ‘Indeed, there is a big project together which will be out in eight months.’ And that the project is ‘quite revolutionary.’

Nearly all these hints point straight to one and only product that we nearly know for sure that Apple is currently working on – an iTV or a related accessory. Apple has long been rumored to be working on a television set that will be an all-new experience for the viewers. Whereas Apple has been very secretive about it, there have been a number of hints about it.

Steve Jobs told Walter Isaacson during the interviews that led to his biography that he had finally ‘cracked’ the secret to building a television set that will have ‘the simplest user interface you imagine.’ Starck has been close to Jobs too and according to him, he has been visiting Jobs frequently over the last few years before his demise.

It would seem that the ‘revolutionary’ product that Starck is talking about may be the next-generation remote control that is rumored to ship with the much-anticipated  iTV. Or that he may simply be working on the nuances of an iTV itself. We can know which of this is true for sure within the next eight months.
