Google Maps has added electric vehicle (EV) charging stations into its search feature so that EV drivers don’t have to fret about where they can get their next fix. To add more charging stations to Google Maps, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) are working to make more data available.
Now, you can search for the nearest charging station by typing “ev charging station near [name of city and state]” into Google Maps. The program will then pull up a map dotted with nearby stations. The stations are represented by red pin drops with letters.
