T-Mobile has been hinting for the last few days that it is preparing something big for its customers. The carrier has finally ended the suspense by announcing global data coverage in 100 countries for T-Mobile subscribers, at absolutely no additional charges.
T-Mobile has conventionally played it popular with the customers by offering such deals and packages which are instantly a hit with the users. Same is the case with this latest announcement from the company.
When announcing the new global data coverage deal, the CEO of T-Mobile tweeted, “Today is the day! The day we change the way the world uses their phones! You ready? #unleash”
Support for global data coverage is, by default, a part of the Simple Choice data plan. In other words, if you are a Simple Choice customer, you are automatically eligible for free global data coverage. As part of this, you will be able to enjoy unlimited 2G data as well as texting in nearly 100 ‘Simple Global countries’ around the globe.
Moreover, if you make any voice calls, it will cost you a mere $0.20 per minute for the in-country talks. Compared to the calling rates of other US carriers, these charges are incredibly low and may be able to lure many users to T-Mobile.
You can perk up this package by further paying up an additional $10 month, which buys you unlimited landline calls to more than 70 Simple Global countries, absolutely free of charge. The voice calls will still cost you $0.2 per minute and you will be able to enjoy unlimited texting.
