It’s latest leap is into the burgeoning e-reader market, and unlike those from Barnes & Noble and Amazon.Designed with convenience features that help reading enthusiasts get the most out of their eBooks and periodicals, the Pandigital Novel lets customers, with a simple touch of the screen, search for word meanings using the built-in dictionary, review past references with word searches, and make notes with the virtual keyboard. In addition, customers can highlight important text, create multiple bookmarks, and change the font size for optimum viewing.The Novel shares many of the characteristics of Apple’s iPad, which recently launched to great acclaim, including a full-color touchscreen LCD (800 by 600 resolution), the ability to use multiple apps for a variety of applications, and such multimedia capabilities as playing digital photos, music and some video content (at launch the device will not support Flash-based video).Novel boasts a full-color 800 x 600 resolution touchscreen, inbuilt WiFi and dimensions of 5.5- x 7.5- x 0.5-inches. The highlight here is the partnership with B&N, which gives this guy access to the bookseller’s eBookstore, not to mention the ability to share content via LendMe. Have a pandigital 7″ novel and trying to find out if you can purchase and or download movies so when I travel I can take one unit not five.. Can someone help????

You have to have download and convert to the Android Open Platform kit or do a hack to be able to download games. As is, you can’t download any games.
In order for you to download a book you must have a Barnes and Noble account. This is how B&N will be paid for the book you want to download. Even if you want a free book you must have an account with them. To have an account you need a credit card and B&N needs that account information. If you are worried about identity theft you can purchase a Visa gift card and use it just like a credit card.

I got the 7 in. color readder for christmas. It dims when I’m reading. The touch screen is terrible, it takes the pleasure out of reading. Can it be returned!!!!
you can down load movies from http://www.360Share.com it is sort of like the old LimeWire site. Just be sure to download MPEG4 format. I have loaded 3 movies so far on mine. They play great.

I was told if u convert your pdn into Android android tablet you can download apps and games. So I did but I still can’t download the apps… how can I download games n be able to watch youtube????? Please help me…
Make sure you update the firmware from Pandigitals site…then try the email setup again.
Let the battery die n recharge it. All kinds of werid stuff happens. Do not try to improve it its hopeless..just enjoy it..

I called Pandigital an they walked me thru this problem. Have to go to settings on ereader an erase it. Then do downlaod again. U can only download once. But if u earase it u can again. Then it will work. Hope this helped.
Before I buy an e reader I would like to know if anyone has found one that you can play games or movies on.? Anyone???
My daughter’s screen cracked on her e reader. Does anyone know where i can find a replacement screen? Customer service cannot help on this because they found that shipping it overseas to be replaced is more expensive than replacing the whole unit. HELP? I do not want to buy a whole new unit.

reflash with the Polaris firmware. Then use SlidME to download apps.
The same thing happen to mine (it cracked on the inside of the screen and it wasn’t dropped). It was in my bag and may have bumped against something but it should never break that easily. I only had it for two weeks and Best Buy won’t return it even though it’s with in there “two week no hassle guaranteed period” so if you find out how to get a new screen please let me know.
I’ve tried many times to download movies or games, but havnt had much luck… if u want something that will let you read, watch movies and play games, you probably want an ipid touch or ipad.
well mine did the same thing but by total fluke of a water bottle falling on the edge of it and flinging it over the edge of the table and onto a cement floor. spider cracked up the whole thing. My aunt who bought it for me took it to best buy and argued with them for almost an hour. they gave her a new one no charge. but now that i hear that this is a problem i gonna be extra careful with it.
