Reward marketing is not a new concept. You aid a brand in getting its name out and in return, you are rewarded with something. UID Cookie Box is a unique concept which takes this notion a step further by awarding you a cookie for sending out a tweet with its hashtag.
Most of the marketing on social media tends to confine itself to the digital realm. We have seen Facebook adverts, Twitter ads and a lot more. However, UID Cookie Box is an excellent marketing idea which brings together the digital realm and the real world.
This is how it works: you walk over to the UID Cookie box and on its display, you are given a hashtag. You need to send out a tweet using that hashtag, from your own account. Once the tweet is out, the box immediately gives up one cookie.
This way, by simply handing out cookies, the brand is able to multiple itself in the social media, charming the common users who act as advertisers and getting a greater user base in the way of doing so.
You may think that perhaps you could pop up more cookies from this box simply by tweeting the hashtag more than once. Sadly, that wouldn’t work since only one cookie is allowed per one account. Also, the brand will obviously run bankrupt if it started awarded so many cookies for free.
