Skype has released an update for the Windows Phone 8, version 2.5. In this new version, message notifications for Messenger buddies are now set to on by default. And the issue of Message notifications having contact names separated by 20% space has also been solved.
Through this update, Skype fixes several bugs related to crashes when signing in with a Microsoft account. Besides, the update includes the ability to switch between portrait and landscape modes during video calls, and zoom in with a simple double tap on the screen.
This updated app is now available on the Windows Phone Store.
NOTE: HTC 8X owners should update their device to the latest firmware to avoid the flaw that makes the microphone silent on audio calls.
