Microsoft Plans To Launch ‘Xbox Windows’ Games On Windows 8 PCs, Tablets

Microsoft has plans of reinvigorating all the aspects of its development with the new and upcoming operating system (OS), Windows 8. It is ramping up the looks and functionality of its new OS and has now announced that it will soon be launching ‘Xbox Windows’ branded games on Windows 8 desktops and tablets.

The games that Microsoft will introduce under the banner of ‘Xbox Windows games’ will not be the same as the games for Windows Live Account. Rather, the company intends to keep the two separate.

As a start, Microsoft will add free games such as Minesweeper and Solitaire to its next game zone. The range of games that will be offered under ‘Xbox Windows’ games is available on X360A.org.

Given the fact that Windows 8 will come packed with full Xbox Live integration, it is clear that Microsoft is trying to bring the gaming experience on a Windows 8 device closer to that of Xbox.
