New information emanating from China and Taiwan point out there might be about 3 million Amazon tablets for the taking during fall and production at Quanta Computers Inc. is already on at full steam and it has been so since the beginning of July with production figures pointing out eight hundred thousand to a million of the Amazon tablets being churned out on a monthly basis. Little is currently known about the mooted Amazon tablet with recent rumours suggesting the online retailer was planning to launch both 7-inch and 10.1-inch tablets, both of which are likely to run Google’s tablet centric Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and it is widely predicted that any 10-inch Amazon tablet would boast an LCD display…………..
Amazon could ship as many as 3 Million Android tablets, codenamed Coyote by October and adds up to orders of 800,000 to 1 million units a month of the 7-inch tablet from Amazon‘s manufacturer, Quanta, which also builds the Kindle and RIM’s PlayBook. Amazon Coyote Android tablet rumored to be one of two Android tablets the Internet retailer would release this year and now it seems that Amazon is planning just one tablet to go along with two new e-ink Kindles. Amazon Coyote will be a 7-inch tablet, which may only support two-finger touchscreen gestures, if rumors are correct, to keep costs down. It will use the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core SOC, as do many other Honeycomb (Android 3.x) tablets. Consumers and analysts have been expecting an Android tablet from Amazon.com for a long time. After all, Amazon.com opened its own Appstore for Android apps, a perfect adjunct to such a tablet, which could also serve as an e-reader using Amazon’s Android Kindle app, perhaps customized specifically for Amazon.com’s own hardware. The more expensive 10.1-inch Hollywood tablet, which is expected to use NVIDIA‘s quad-core Kal-El SOC, is now expected sometime next year and is currently being manufactured by Apple’s BFF, Foxconn.
