OS X Mountain Lion, just been released by Apple for developers, has brought along a whole lot of many awesome features. One feature which, in particular, has evoked a huge response and awe from tech enthusiasts is that of AirPlay Mirroring. This particular features allow content from a device to be showed on a much large display so that even when the device is not capable of high-resolution content, the displayed content is rendered according to the display. Apple TV has been steadily vanishing off the shelves of major retailers. We earlier reported that it was no longer available with some main retailers of the device who had responded by saying that they were experiencing a reduced or no supply from Apple. Apparently, same has happened with folks at BestBuy.com who are out of stock on Apple TV and have been so ‘for a while.’

iPad 3 is all set to launch in the next month. What we can say with a certain sense of certainty about it is that it will have a display resolution of 2048*1536. This ultra-high resolution display can display 1080p content very easily. The problem, however, is that iTunes content does not exceed 720p and this goes the same for Apple TV. So will Apple make changes to both these platforms to make them compatible with iPad 3? It seems so.

Last time people talked about the Apple TV, they were hyped about the possible launch of a Siri enabled TV that could abolish the remote control. Since then, nothing new regarding this topic surfaced. But now, we are hearing rumors that Apple is actually working on big-screen TV – an entity that could be called an iTV. Apple has been filing patents for a number of very innovative concepts. Access of these patents is possible only when US Patents office makes them public. One such patent that has been made public now is ‘Apparatus And Method To Facilitate Universal Remote Control.’ As the name suggests, the patent is about developing a universal remote control that can automatically detect the devices present within it’s range and then can wirelessly get a user interface from these devices to display on a touch-screen.

There have been a lot of rumours over the time that Apple will release iPad 3 sometime soon in 2012. In fact, Digitimes also claimed that according to one of it’s sources, Apple will release iPad 3 at the iWorld. Some other websites claimed that the tablet will launched at CES. According to a recent post by Loop’s Jim Dalrymple, Apple won’t be releasing iPad 3 at either of these occasions and that we will have to wait longer to see the next tablet by Apple.
