Ever since the demise of Apple’s co-founder and tech genius Steve Jobs, we have been hearing about a movie being made about him. Starring Ashton Kutcher, the movie will finally be released in April 2013 and it would initially premiere at Sundance Film Festival this month.
The movie, titled ‘jOBS’ is essentially a biopic, depicting the life events of Steve Jobs. According to the details of the movie, some of the scenes have even been shot in the very same garage where Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded Apple.
Five Star Feature Films has now announced that it has reached a deal with Open Roads Film. As per the deal, Open Road Films will be tasked with distributing the movie in the United States.
According to Mark Hulme of Five Star Feature Films, “We set out to find the perfect partners to present jOBS to audiences worldwide, and we feel we have found one with Open Road. They were as impressed as we were with Ashton Kutcher’s inspiring and unforgettable performance as Steve Jobs and are excited to distribute the picture in the U.S.”
The CEO of Open Roads Film also expressed similar sentiments when he said, “jOBS is certain to resonate with audiences and we are thrilled to partner with Five Star Feature Films to bring this film to theaters.”
