The creator of Android, Andy Rubin finally launches his new smartphone named “Essential Phone”. It looks spectacular as it says. There has no compromising in the hardware line up. It has comes with flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

It is Andy Rubin’s new company named “Essential”. They also have another product called “Home”. We will talk about it another day. Let’s go inside the phone.


The dramatic design of this phone seem pretty diverse. The display is similar to Samsung galaxy S8. Whole body is equipped with edge-to-edge display and it is 5.71” with radiused corners. The body is made with titanium and ceramic in the back. There has different type color: Black Moon, Stellar Grey, Pure White and Ocean Depths.


Who don’t want a phone with latest hardware and flagship phone? May be Andy Rubin’s right decision to have a successful phone creator. It has new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and this is really engrossing. It’s also has 4GB ram, 3040mAh battery with fast charging via USB Type-C and storage is 128GB UFS 2.1, which is really fast. Full detail can be found here.


You will be glad that this phone has a 360-degree camera accessories that can be used to shoot a spherical UHD image of 3840×1920 sized. The main camera is dual 13MP RGB and Mono camera. It’s similar to Huawei P9 and P10. The front-facing camera is 8MP. Good news for vloger. Cause, front camera is capable of 4K video recording. That is impressive.

Operating system

This phone has comes from Andy Rubin the creator of Android. So, There has no doubt that you will get up-to-date software update. This phone will run Android Nougat 7.1.1. Theme looks like stock android.


Essential Phone” price is $699 and “Essential Phone + 360° Camera” bundled price is $749.

Release Date

Essential Phone will be start shipping in June 2017
